Picnic at the Falls

For those that haven’t already seen it, this trip starts with the option to stop in at the Tarsier Sanctuary where you can take a short stroll through the natural habitat of the world’s smallest primate, take some photos and learn something about these amazing little critters.
A scenic drive later, we stop off at a local market to buy supplies for our picnic lunch.
From here a short trip takes us into the midst of village life where we start the short but challenging walk. Past local houses, through rice paddies and then down a jungle-clad escarpment.
This walk brings us to a beautiful blue-green pool below Bohol’s second highest waterfall. And in our opinion it is the premier waterfall in all of Bohol. Absolutely sublime on a sunny day!
This site makes a great spot for our picnic and there is plenty of time to laze by the waterfalls and swim before he head back up the escarpment where the vehicle will be waiting to take us home.
